What this number does not cover

  • This is the DOL OEWS-based prevailing wage standard used for the LCA and the H-1B petition — not what an employer will actually pay, and not a market average.
  • OEWS reflects the overall wage distribution for the occupation in that area and does not capture skill or experience; employers within one SOC can differ widely.
  • This site bundles the 40 most common metro areas and 50-plus occupations. If yours is not listed, use the official OFLC Wage Search.

This page is a mechanical conversion of official wage data. It is not legal advice and promises no outcome for an LCA or any petition.

Where the data comes from

Wage levels are published annually by the U.S. DOL OFLC from OEWS data (this is Wage Year 2026–27, effective 2026-07-01). The file gives hourly Level I–IV wages per area × SOC code; this tool annualises at 2,080 hours. This site bundles 40 metro areas and 50 occupations; the full 164 metros and 746 occupations are in the official OFLC Wage Search.
